Walk-in Clinic


You do not have to be registered as a patient with the City Medical Centre in order to receive treatment from us. We provide services to walk-in patients who may be registered with other family physicians and those who are not registered with any doctor.

Our walk-in clinic provides treatment for minor injuries and illnesses that patients cannot manage themselves at home. Some examples of these are:

  • Earache and ear infection, removal of foreign bodies, ear syringe to remove excess wax (Patients who have regular ear syringing should see their own family physician)
  • Eye problems, such as pink eye, conjunctivitis, minor foreign bodies in the eye
  • Minor facial wounds, bruising, swelling
  • Minor head injury with no loss of consciousness
  • Muscle, bone and joint injuries such as sprains, strains and soft tissue injuries
  • Neck pain or strain, minor whiplash 
  • Removal of simple foreign bodies
  • Uncomplicated nose bleeds
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Tonsillitis, sore throat
  • Stomach ache, sickness, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Wounds such as superficial cuts or lacerations, bruises, bites and minor burns, staple and suture removal
  • Insect bites or stings, animal bites
  • Thrush, cystitis
  • Coughs and colds
  • Minor stomach complaints including urine infections, stomach upsets
  • Skin complaints including rashes and minor allergic reactions
  • Prescription refills for a short period while waiting to see your family physician
  • Urinalysis and blood glucose tests
  • Pregnancy test


These are just some examples of the type of minor injuries and illnesses that we can assist you with.

Please note:


There are no x-ray facilities at the City Medical Centre.


If a fracture is suspected, please go directly to the Emergency Department at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, 270 Bradbrooke Drive. See location on map


City Medical Centre Physicians do not refill narcotic prescriptions like morphine etc.


We advise you to contact your own doctor for these repeat prescriptions.
